Sausage dogs running. It might not be the race that stops a nation, but it sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. Hophaus Bier Bar have announced they will start their Oktoberfest celebrations a little early this year with the announcement that they'll be hosting a Teckelrennen this September. For those not fluent in German, that a Dachshund Race. That's right, those adorable little dogs with long bodies and tiny legs will be pitted against each other, with only one taking Sausage Dog Glory. For those not keen to race, there will also be a Best Dressed Dachshund award. The event is for a good cause, partnering with My Dachshund Online, the sausage dog run will raise money for Dachshund Rescue Australia. The Dachshund Race will take place on Saturday September 19 at Podium Courtyard, Southgate.
