QUEENSLAND!
I have family in QLD so some days were spent with them breaking up the driving.

We started out at LIGHTENING RIDGE, stayed at the Big 4 with ensuite site (bring a drill if needing to put pegs in). They offer doggy day care for a reasonable fee. If you'd like to go to the natural hot baths, is a great option for those who’s doggos don’t mind doggy day care.

Walk in mine tour is dog friendly. For $20 you can take your pupper down in with you. Just up the road the Cactus nursery which is pretty cool is also a quirky place to visit (there is a garden ornament there called Misty which Dave lost it at. I was talking to the owner when leaving and he said Every dog in that spot loses it / spooks at Misty. The car door tours are all able to be done with dogs and the red door tour is within walking distance to see from the Big 4 (if you're able do a 5-8km walk at most). The opal shop in the main street which buy directly from mines also is pet friendly.
